Reduce Your Risk of Being Mugged by Taking a Few Simple Precautions

Imagine losing your valuables to a thief while on holiday. It’s enough to sour the rest of the trip for you and it’s distressing, too. So it pays to be on your guard and keep a lookout for muggers so you can enjoy your holiday in peace.

Here are some pointers:

Don’t pack valuables in the baggage you plan to check-in and hold your carry-on and handbag securely at all times.

You never know when thieves might distract you by asking you questions while an accomplice stealthily snatches your bags when you’re looking the other way.

This happens in tourist attractions, hotels and restaurants, too, so never leave your bags unattended by placing them on the floor by your chair or at the back of your seat where thieves can easily snatch it away.

Bear in mind that thieves can actually appear well-dressed so you can never tell.
